Creature Skateboards first appeared in 1994, with artist and skate industry figure Russ Pope among its founders. After a period out of the spotlight, the label returned in the early 2000s through the NHS skate family, building an unmistakable identity around transition skating and horror-inspired artwork.
Darren Navarrette helped set the tone: fast bowl lines, powerful terrain and a heavy soundtrack. Video releases including Born Dead, Hesh Law and CSFU expanded that reputation, while street skaters brought their own energy to the crew. Creature graphics favour monsters, skulls and unapologetic visual excess. At BUD, the appeal is that complete world surrounding the board: fast skating, a distinctive soundtrack and deck art with real attitude.
