Ocean Pacific traces its roots to California surf culture and a clothing project started by Jim Jenks in 1972. Over the years, the label became associated with an easy-going West Coast lifestyle, a visual world that also suits longboards, compact cruisers and surfskates. Its contemporary complete boards carry that relaxed identity onto pavement.
The differences between those shapes are worth understanding. A pintail longboard emphasises flowing turns, a short cruiser suits quick journeys and a surfskate uses a particular turning response to echo surfing movements. Deck length, wheel softness and truck setup all influence the ride. At BUD, Ocean Pacific offers a different approach to four wheels: travelling, carving and finding smooth lines rather than focusing only on street tricks.
