Founded in Melbourne in 2016 by Keegan Walker and Dale Van Lersel, Hoddle Skateboards takes its name from the city's street grid, laid out by surveyor Robert Hoddle. That local reference makes sense for a brand shaped by its surroundings, artwork and the people skating together.
The loss of co-founder Keegan Walker in 2019 deeply affected the crew, which continued to carry the project forward through boards and collaborative work. Hoddle is not built on loud corporate storytelling; its strength comes from friendship and an identifiable Melbourne perspective. BUD Skateshop features the label for the way it brings a place and a community into skateboard graphics.
