Ghetto Child Wheels: a piece of Shorty’s history

Ghetto Child Wheels emerged in 1997 as part of the wider Shorty's world, when Chad Muska's influence connected technical street skating with hip-hop, baggy clothing and unmistakable graphics. A wheel company might sound like a small part of that picture, but Ghetto Child became a recognizable name within the movement.

After an extended break, the label returned in 2016 with people from its original circle and riders including Bryan Herman and Braydon Szafranski involved in the relaunch. The wheels preserve a link to the era of Fulfill the Dream, when skate videos shaped both tricks and style. Its heritage is inseparable from that influential late-1990s moment.
