Carpet Company began as a hands-on project by brothers Ayman and Osama Abdeldayem in Maryland. Around 2015, they were learning screen printing and making small runs for fellow skateboarders, working out of a basement rather than a conventional fashion studio. Their Egyptian-American background, skate-video memories and interest in graphic design gave the label an unmistakably personal language.
That spirit carries through its boards and clothing. Unexpected ink treatments, playful artwork and details tucked into the garments make the creative process part of the finished object. Carpet has collaborated with Nike SB and Vans, yet the appeal remains the feeling that real skaters made these pieces because they wanted them to exist. It is skate culture seen through printing, experimentation and an appreciation for the beautiful accident.
