Founded in 2003 by Rodney Mullen and Daewon Song, Almost Skateboards brought together two extraordinarily inventive approaches to the board. Their earlier Rodney Mullen vs. Daewon Song films had already shown how flatground, manuals and unusual obstacles could become an endless playground. Almost turned that shared curiosity into a skate company.
Its 2004 video Round Three featured Mullen and Song alongside Chris Haslam, Cooper Wilt and Ryan Sheckler. Cheese & Crackers later explored what Song and Haslam could create together on a single mini-ramp. That spirit of experimentation sits comfortably beside Almost's interest in deck construction, including resin-bonded and reinforced designs. The brand appeals to skateboarders who enjoy both sides of progression: the patient search for an original trick and the practical details of the board that makes it possible.
