Mosaic Bearings grew out of Spanish skateboarding in 2004, associated with skater Tristán and an interest in better rolling components. Bearings are small enough to be overlooked, yet they influence how freely wheels spin and how a setup feels over a long session. Mosaic has developed ranges including the Super 1 family and different material options for skaters who pay attention to hardware.
An ABEC number describes manufacturing tolerance, not the full performance of a bearing under skateboarding loads. Protection from dirt, maintenance, lubrication and impact resistance matter just as much. Mosaic’s rider-linked editions keep the brand connected to skating rather than abstract engineering claims. At BUD, it offers a useful reminder that a thoughtful setup includes the parts you barely see.
