Opera Skateboards arrived in 2023 as a new chapter for Bill Weiss, previously the driving force behind Madness. After major changes at Dwindle Distribution, Weiss helped create a new skater-led platform through Sidewalk Distribution, allowing him to develop a board brand with its own distinct identity.
Opera carries the energy of a crew equally at home on vert ramps, in bowls and beyond. Clay Kreiner, Jack Fardell, Sam Beckett, Trey Wood and Alex Perelson have all helped shape that direction. The decks stand out for expressive artwork, thoughtful shapes and attention to graphic finishes rather than a purely minimalist look. BUD sees Opera as a compelling choice for skaters who appreciate fast transition skating, individual style and boards with visual character.
