Flip Skateboards grew out of Britain's Deathbox scene before relocating to California in the 1990s. Jeremy Fox and a group of riders including Geoff Rowley and Tom Penny took a distinctly European approach into the centre of the skate industry. Their progress changed how British skateboard talent was perceived internationally.
Videos such as Sorry and Really Sorry helped define Flip's reputation: fearless skating, memorable personalities and parts that viewers would replay until the tape wore out. Arto Saari and Rune Glifberg added to that legacy. From the graphics to the team, Flip still represents a kind of uncompromising skateboarding with roots on both sides of the Atlantic.
