Speed Demons emerged from the World Industries skateboarding universe in the 1990s, first becoming known through bearings and wheels. The name carried the straightforward promise of speed and a bold visual attitude, fitting the era when skate hardware brands were finding identities of their own.
The label later expanded into other skate products and became familiar to riders discovering street skating through the World Industries family of graphics, companies and characters. While it did not follow the exact path of a classic professional board brand, its bearings and wheels belong to the history of accessible skate equipment. Speed Demons evokes the bright, fast-moving personality of skateboarding around the turn of the millennium, when a small piece of hardware could have a memorable logo of its own.
