Fucking Awesome, or FA, grew out of the distinctive visual world of skateboarder Jason Dill. First established as a small graphic and clothing project in the early 2000s, it developed into a full skateboard brand after Dill and Anthony Van Engelen left Alien Workshop in 2013. Their idea was to create something that reflected their own skating and interests rather than conforming to established industry expectations.
FA’s graphics use found photography, unsettling imagery, blunt typography and references drawn from underground culture. Decks, T-shirts and sweatshirts carry an unmistakably confrontational identity, balanced by a serious commitment to filming and street skateboarding. Sister label Hockey shares that creative orbit while keeping its own aesthetic. Dill and AVE are central to an approach in which board graphics, riders and video parts belong to the same story.
