The Creature VX Nightwatch is Chris Russell’s Creature pro model, in the VX Nightwatch version.

Creature was built in San Jose around Jason Adams and Darren Navarrette and has stayed faithful to its horror, zombie and NorCal-punk visual language instead of following short-lived trends.

The model stays inside Creature’s horror-heavy NorCal language: dark illustration, monsters and macabre themes are part of the brand’s core identity rather than seasonal decoration.

This version measures 8.6″ x 32.11″ with 14.626″ wheelbase. The wider outline puts more board underfoot and favours a planted, stable feel, especially on transition and larger terrain. The longer wheelbase stretches the stance and prioritises stability over a very tight turning arc.

VX construction: five plies of North American maple are combined with two layers of Quad X composite. Santa Cruz describes VX as thinner, stronger and more pop-retentive than a standard 7-ply, reducing wood thickness without giving up the stiffness expected from a skate deck.
