Polar Skate Co emerged in Malmö, Sweden, in 2011 through the vision of skateboarder and filmmaker Pontus Alv. Built around a deeply creative view of skateboarding, the company places videos, DIY spots, artwork and a strong sense of community alongside its boards. Rather than imitate a traditional skate brand, Polar developed a visual world of its own with contributions from artists including Jacob Ovgren.
That perspective extends to clothing: roomy trousers, distinctive graphics and relaxed silhouettes have become closely associated with the label.
