Magenta Skateboards was founded in 2010 by Vivien Feil, Jean Feil and Soy Panday, initially taking shape around a shared apartment on Boulevard Magenta in Paris. The company later developed strong roots in Bordeaux while building a worldwide network of skaters and friends. Its philosophy places personal style, urban exploration and filming above conventional competition-driven skateboarding.
Soy Panday’s art direction, the recognisable Plantlife symbol and videos including Microcosme and Soleil Levant give Magenta a distinctive voice. Riders such as Léo Valls have helped show how ordinary city architecture can inspire creative lines. At BUD, Magenta represents a European skate company that treats drawing, travel and street skating as parts of the same artistic practice.
