Krooked arrived in 2002 as an outlet for Mark Gonzales, the street-skating pioneer whose drawings are as unmistakable as his style on a board. Working within the Deluxe Distribution family, Gonz turned skateboard decks into an extension of his sketchbook: playful characters, irregular lettering and unexpected colour combinations.
The videos follow the same logic. Krooked Kronichles and the experimental Krook3d show a company more interested in imagination than polished formulas. Riders such as Bobby Worrest and Mike Anderson have helped give that artistic world a genuine skating foundation. At BUD, Krooked stands for the freedom to make skateboarding look personal, odd and joyful. The graphics matter, but so does the approach behind them: style and curiosity before strict rules.
