HUF began with professional skateboarder Keith Hufnagel, whose early years in New York's street-skating scene shaped his outlook. After moving west, he opened the first HUF store in San Francisco in 2002, bringing together sought-after skate, sneaker and streetwear labels. The shop eventually gave rise to HUF's own collections, rooted in the crossover between skateboarding, hip-hop, graffiti and art.
