Deathwish Skateboards emerged in 2008 when Jim Greco and Erik Ellington built a sister label to Baker within Baker Boys Distribution. Where Baker already had a reputation for raw street skating, Deathwish pushed the imagery further into punk, hard-edged graphics and cinematic references. Its circular logo quickly became part of skateboarding's visual vocabulary.
The identity is backed by serious skating. The Deathwish Video from 2013 helped define the brand's reputation, while riders such as Jon Dickson, Neen Williams and Jamie Foy kept its street credentials strong across different generations. At BUD Skateshop, Deathwish is for skaters drawn to bold board art and a team whose video parts never feel calculated to play it safe.
