Skaters were wearing adidas trainers long before the company built a dedicated skateboarding line. By the late 1990s adidas Skateboarding had its own identity, and the brand went on to pair the familiar three stripes with serious street-skating performance. Mark Gonzales brought a pioneering creative approach, Dennis Busenitz brought speed and precision, and later riders such as Tyshawn Jones and Nora Vasconcellos gave the team different voices.
