The Santa Cruz Snakes VX Maurio McCoy 8.25″ is built around Maurio McCoy’s custom Twin Tip geometry. At 8.25″ wide and 31.83″ long, with a 14.22″ wheelbase, it is aimed at skaters who want a technical, highly responsive deck without sacrificing stability.

A true Twin Tip: identical nose and tail

This is not simply a popsicle deck with similar-looking ends. The nose and tail are both 6.71″, giving the board genuinely symmetrical dimensions at both ends. That consistency is particularly useful for switch and fakie skating because the deck presents the same length and kick geometry whichever way it is ridden.

VX construction: five maple plies plus composite reinforcement

Santa Cruz VX construction replaces the conventional seven-ply maple stack with five plies of North American maple and two composite reinforcement layers. The goal is a deck that is thinner and lighter while increasing strength and helping the board retain its stiffness, shape and pop through repeated sessions.

The reduced thickness keeps the deck feeling crisp and responsive, while the reinforcement is designed for skaters who put significant stress into flips, gaps, rails and repeated landings.
